Rally and strike of Yazd University students in Iran against poor quality of food services
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, hundreds of students at the Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences and Health Services in Yazd, Iran refused to eat the university food in protest of the poor quality of food services and held a strike at the campus.
Students set their plants alone the floor and chanted: “Student dies but will not tolerate tyranny.”
Meanwhile, a staff member at Shahid Sadoughi University of Physics was busy eating to show that the food was of high quality, causing students to scoff and boo him. Student protesters once again cried the slogan “Student dies but will not tolerate tyranny.”
Earlier, the students had been complaining about the lack of the university chairman to be present among the college students, and these complaints led to protests and strikes at the student cafeterias.
