Protest rally in front of parliament in Tehran, Iran against removal of SAMPAD from secondary schools
A group of high school graduates with brilliant talents and high school students from SAMPAD (NODET: National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) protested in front of the parliament in Tehran on Tuesday, February 13. They protested against the gradual removal of SAMPAD of secondary schools from the first semester.
The protesters in front of the parliament protested against the prohibition of holding an elementary test that eliminates the Exceptional talents schools in three years.
It should be noted that this is the second gathering of protest to the remove of SAMPAD schools from the first semester, which was held since last week. The first gathering was held in front of the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry of Education has said that quizzes have been eliminated because of the injuries that these types of tests have brought into the elementary period.
This is while the protesters say: If the test is the cause of stress and the factor in eliminating vitality in schools, they can find another mechanism for identifying superior talent instead. Why instead of solving the problem, they have cleared the problem?
